SAT Writing Class (Sept-Oct, 9-11 AM PST)

Saturdays for 5 weeks, 9-11 AM PST (10 AM - 12 PM MST, 12 PM - 2 PM EST) Dates: 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21 In this class, a group of six kids aged 7-13 will take on the role of heroes on a fantastic adventure! By telling their own stories online through an engaging, creative game, they’ll meet academic standards for presentation, writing, and media use, improving their story-telling, critical thinking, improv skills and teamwork. The program includes: • Five two-hour classes, once a week; • In-class editing and writing feedback; • Inspiring and engaging creative prompts; • An overview of the communal project the students create; • Educational feedback on your student’s success at 5 main Common Core writing standards; • The full game template to run for friends and share! Taught by a California credentialed teacher, this class meets Common Core standards for writing, and counts towards homeschool curriculum requirements. Each parent receives not only access to all their student's work, but detailed educational and socio-emotional feedback from the instructor on their student's progress.
